The very first day I arrive at NYC. I rushed to the Brooklyn bridge with my friend, where I found the most beautiful moment in my life: standing on the bridge (itself was already like a dream), looking at the town, it’s just unbelievably quiet but huge; looking at the distant ocean, so peaceful but wild; looking up at the sky, it’s just another fairy tale..
Recently, I started to love cats, especially their eye expression.
You wouldn’t find another species on earth that has more melancholy sentiments in their eyes than cats!
One of my best friends, at Shanghai 1933, which is a magical place that was refurbished from used-to-be the biggest slaughter house in south east Asia…
Cats do have irresistible expression in their eyes, which grabs your attention as if they’re gonna tell a long story from it…
That’s an expression of innocent.

Coldest day of the year; I was wandering around in the Central Park, and I found people were watching others having fun in the ice skating ring, while this girl was looking/thinking/questioning about the surroundings…
She was looking for something special, more special than the “moment”.
Kids are the only living angels on this planet, and they do represent
LOVE, HAPPINESS, & HOPE.
New York City = Pigeon City
There are many many many pigeons in this city;
they are adding more chaos to this already chaotic city…
Gradually, they become the totem of the city.
It’s crossing the line, from the brightness to the darkness; known to ambiguity..
Me, too.
Recently, I got interested in taking random pics for dogs..
I love to look at them staring at me, and wondering
why you are following me?!
This is a city that can wake me up,
and keep me stay awake forever…
I love its absorbed cultures and dynamics.
It’s pretty!
Travel to another area, city, world, culture…
I am refreshed in this way.
But I always miss my old friends and experienced things,
because I am hesitated about ambiguities…

When I found her, she was hiding underneath a vent that has warm air coming out of it…and it was -10 degree outdoor.
She didn’t really care about my approaching, or I didn’t bother her.
So cool!
Today is Thanksgiving black Friday. I didn’t go shopping, rather going out and taking some pics.
Fall is here, and winter is waving toward us.

This is an exhibit called Mindscape, hosted at our art center.
It’s a student’s work. Basically he just made a bunch of goofy ceramics and arranged them around a small room.
I like the spacial feeling of these hanging objects. Very decorative…

These wizened flowers are just like curtains for the show, and the bike knows that it is shining, but shy.
Dandelion, my favorite plant.
Sometimes it is quiet, sometimes it is vibrant.
Most importantly, it can FLY.
Four different textures: wood, steal, cement, and stone.

That color thing is part of Stick It wrap, I like the color.
The b&w one has a kind of texture that grabs my attention, while the colors have their own meanings to all of us.
This architecture is amusing when you look up; it’s like a big cinema screen, especially when the lights are on in the evening.
I really like this kind of simplified symmetric image.
This was taken at a fishing village called Tai O, located on the corner of the Lan Tau island of Hong Kong. Very peaceful place; they have a fishing/sea food market where you could find weird fishes.. Most of the “houses” over there are made of aluminum panels, very thin but structurally amazing. The residences are mainly elder people.
Every time when I past by some weedery places I would stop and observe how they dance with breeze…but on that day, everything was so quiet and static, just like a beautiful painting waiting people to appreciate, record and share with others. I usually voluntarily became their missionary…
Simplified scene is always seductive to me… simple texture, simple color, and simple composition.
I am fascinated by such an interesting relationship between these two strings; These are two ends, they are close, but the other end is at different directions, so that they would never meet; The knots have reminded me those ancient people used this method to record their own history and stories, these two strings are like two lives that have different destinies in the end, but they started at the same place…
This giant cruiser ship anchored by one of the harbors in Hong Kong, it periodically leaves the bank and cruises around, and comes back the next day. This was the time when it left, amazingly beautiful.

The sky should be defined with moving clouds, like the ocean, without waves, should it still be authentic ocean? It should be changeable, dynamic, and vivid; like our lives.
Actually I didn’t think that much when I took this one, however, afterwards I realized the wonderful contrast and the interesting gesture the old lady was showing…It’s the past versus the future scene.
Lots of rains in Hong Kong during summer; people like to be rushed and hurry all the time, even during the rain.
The only reason I shot this was because I want to try it by myself, I only saw this kind of scene in Google Images. Luckily, it turned out perfectly, except for some distortion effect because of the short lens.
This is a very unnoticeable place behind the Abbey Church of SJU. After all, it’s a screw, but with rusty trail. For me, it’s simply a piece of art.

Lake Sag, SJU. Wandering around with friend after dinner. Early Spring, the lake was still frozen. The sun was setting down behind us so we could see this beautiful and magic scene. It’s like a painting. Never happened during summer time though.
Our E-scholar group (partial) by a lake close to Marshall, MN. We are like a family, totally. We have classes together, travel around the country/world together, eat and play together, grow and share with each other. lovely memories for everyone of us!
Still by the lake Sag, SJU. Like the balanced color and focused composition. Break, taking a break by the lake after the Spring came, eventually, is a pure enjoyable thing to do at SJU.
School provides me lots of opportunities to explore the forest during free time. There are so many these kind of trees around campus, I still do not know its name though. But its skin is red, some of them are gold, so beautiful when it’s reflecting sun glow, especially during evening time.
This is a flat where I live when I am in Hong Kong. In English, it says 15th floor, but in Chinese it says 16th… How am I supposed to which one is true if I know both languages? Totally confusing and struggling when I saw it the first time.
One of the Hong Kong subway stations. I obsessed with all the colorful subway (They call it MTR in HK.) stations in Hong Kong, it’s always so delightful to walk around; my mood usually changes for every station the train stops. One day, I took a group pictures of a bunch of them along my way home.
It’s very easy to see these giant boxes around Shen Zhen, China. The fascinating colors and layout interested me.
I shot this one by a very old and discarded manufactory in Shen Zhen, China. Actually no one would ever see these lovely flowers, because it’s very subtle and hidden behind a wall. However, the chimney behind it is so obvious. Such strong comparison grabbed my attention and I feel interesting. It’s really like beast versus angel.
It was quite accidental to find this ONE leave out of a forest. I past by and it blocked the sun shine for a second, so I noticed it. I could tell that it’s already dead, but the color was still vibrant under sun shine, so beautiful.
